Why Wear Lingerie?

Lingerie may be the simplest and most effective tool in seduction. What man doesn't love looking at a woman in lingerie? Not only do men love seeing women in lingerie, something amazing usually happens when a woman puts on the right lingerie. She not only looks sexy, but she feels sexy, she becomes sexy. Lingerie can boost confidence and help shed inhibitions. The right lingerie can turn plain Jane into a smoldering sex kitten.

Gifts are wonderful but we all know the most appealing packages are those wrapped in pretty wrapping paper, ribbons and bows. The wrapping makes the gift that much more enticing. Plus unwrapping the present adds more excitement. That is the affect and lure of lingerie. You want to package your goodies enticingly and give your partner a surprise and sexy gift to unwrap.

Lingerie is a wonderful way to inspire romance and enhance your intimate encounters. Most of us save wearing lingerie for special occasions like Valentine's Day, birthdays or anniversaries, but it can be used at any time to add some extra heat to a relationship. Think of it as giving a surprise gift ‘just because'. There is no better way to let a man know that you want him and men love to be wanted. When he sees you standing there in something sexy, slinky, lacy or racy he'll instantly know what you have in mind.

There are many types of lingerie to choose from. You can find everything from mild to wild from sweet and sensual to bold and risqué. Make sure to try lingerie on before buying if you can. Just because it looks good on the mannequin in the store or model in the catalog doesn't mean it will flatter you. Look for lingerie that enhances your natural assets and down plays or hides less flattering areas. For instance if you feel you have nice breasts but you hate your legs opt for a long flattering gown that accentuates your breasts and gives him a great view of your ample cleavage but seductively hides your legs.

How to Wash Lingerie

Lingerie is wonderful clothing that makes you look good and feel good. Lingerie is also very delicate and should be handled with great care. Taking extra measures when washing your lingerie can protect the life and look of the garment. There are two methods that can be used when washing lingerie and both are quick and easy.

Things You’ll Need:
* Woolite
* Drying rack (optional)
* Mesh laundry bag

Machine Wash
Step1
When washing lingerie in a washing machine, a washable laundry bag is necessary. These can be found at any major department store. The laundry bag is a small mesh bag that holds the lingerie during washing. Woolite is the best cleaning product to use. Start your washer on a warm gentle cycle. Add the Woolite to the wash and let it blend with the water. While the water in the washing machine is being turned, place your lingerie garments inside the laundry bag. Place the laundry bag inside the washing machine.
Step2
After the washing cycle is finished, remove the laundry bag from the wash. Carefully unzip the bag and remove the garments from the bag. Take each piece individually and lay the items flat between folds of a towel, then press out the excess water. You can either lay the items flat to dry, or if you have a drying rack you can lay each piece over the drying rack.
Step3
Take your laundry bag and place it in the dryer for about 10 minutes. Remove the bag from the dryer and store for future use.

Handwash
Step1
To handwash your lingerie, fill a tub or sink with warm water and Woolite (measure according to directions on the bottle). Place lingerie items in the water and let them soak for 10 to 15 minutes. The soaking will help soften the dirt and make it easier to remove. Be sure that hooks from bras and other garments do not catch on the lace of other garments.
Step2
After soaking, take each item one at a time and gently rub the fabric together to remove the dirt. Be sure to do this one item at a time so the other fabrics do not rub together.
Step3
Remove the dirty water from the tub or sink and wash each item in cool water. Rinse until the water runs clear. Lay garments flat on a layer of towels, then lay another layer of towels on top and press out any excess water. After all water has been removed, lay flat or hang over a drying rack to dry.

Types of Lingerie

Often the person best suited to define lingerie is the woman for whom it is intended. Depending on her modesty and conservatism, what is thrilling apparel to one woman may be plain daily accouterments to another. Within general categories of intimate garments, there are a wide variety of different styles. Basic categories include:

* Panties: Depending on the cut, shape, and amount of fabric, panties may be briefs, boy-cuts, bikinis, French cuts, or thongs. The basic differences result from the type of cut at the waist and leg, with some styles deliberately designed to conceal panty lines under clothing. Lingerie panties are typically silk or satin and may have lace, patterns, bright colors, or embroidered focal points.
* Bras: Bras come in strapless, under wire, padded, sports, and other styles, usually depending on the strap width and placement as well as the way the cups are given shape. Lingerie bras are often rich, bold colors with shiny fabrics and lace sides or embellishments.
* Nightgowns: Nightgowns come in the widest variety of all, with different lengths, seams, waists, sleeves, and straps distinguishing different styles. Typically, nightgowns classified as intimate apparel are made of satin or silk, perhaps see-through, and include lace, bows, and form-fitting curves.
* Exotic Apparel: There are a select variety of styles meant for more exotic wear, including teddies, baby dolls and garters. These are considered the most risqué types of intimate apparel and are form-fitting, often transparent through lacy patterns, and may even be themed (devil, maid, angel, etc.). They may have feathers, pompons or other eye-catching details, and are usually found in boutique stores.
